1. General
********************************************************************************

This dSPACE hotfix contains a new DS1202 firmware version.

A MANUAL firmware update for all your DS1202 systems using the Firmware
Manager must be started, otherwise this hotfix does not have any effect.

For the update, it is recommended to use the latest version of
dSPACE Firmware Manager, which can be downloaded from the dSPACE web page
as follows:

* Open a browser and enter the following URL: http://www.dspace.com/go/Firmware 

* Download the setup file for the latest available Firmware Manager version
  to your PC and execute the setup. Follow further instructions provided by
  the setup process.


2. Installation
********************************************************************************

In order to update the DS1202 firmware, please follow these steps:

1. Install the Firmware Archive setup.

2. Switch on your DS1202.

3. Ensure that ControlDesk and ConfigurationDesk are closed.

4. Start Firmware Manager: Start -> dSPACE Firmware Manager -> dSPACE Firmware Manager
   Note: If you are not familiar with the Firmware Manager, you can get further
         information via the dSPACE Help Desk: Start -> dSPACE Firmware Manager
         -> dSPACE Help Desk (Firmware Manager)

5. Register the DS1202 system to be updated via the "Register Platforms"
   button, in case it is not already available in the platforms view. 

6. Click on the "DS1202 MicroLabBox" Symbol in the platforms view.

7. Make sure that the correct version is selected in the "Firmware Archive
   Installations" column

8. Press the "Update" button located in the lower right corner of the 
   Firmware Manager window to start the update process. 

9. Repeat the update steps if you have multiple DS1202 systems.

- Detection of fan malfunction or over-temperature improved (557442)
- Problem with the 2nd resolver interface fixed (546598)
